I’m in Texas and first was told about Clear through my landlord. They were only using he wireless stick and didn’t have many issues. They said the service was slow once in a while. So I decided to try them. I got the internet, internet stick and phone package. For about 6 mths… I was paying about 50.00 a mth. I also had a secondary line added that I used for about a mth. I called and asked them to cancel the secondary line and for 6 mths, I had to call in each mth to ask them to take it off after they charged me for it. During those 6 mths, i repeadetly asked for a credit and was never given one. After all that time, I fianally threatened to cancel my account and that’s when they issued me a credit for the secondary line charges. A mth later, I received my bank statement and my billed jumped up from 50.00 to 90.00 a mth!! I called back and told them to cancel my account and of course they gave me a spill about how they will drop the price blah blah blah…. I said no and explained how I was so disgusted with the service and the charges. The rep said I would NOT be charged an early termination fee because of all the issues i had during the 1 yr I had the service. The following mth, 80.00 was withdrawn from my checking account for early termination fee. I am still trying to get that reimbursed and I will NOT let it go without a fight.
