I fucken HATE Clearwire! – User Submission
July 27th, 2010 | by Admin |First off I’d like to say that I thought I was the only one that thought Clearwire blew. So here’s my deal. I got new Clearwire equipment recently because they went from a 3G network to a 4G one. Now, I was already getting shitty ass speeds before this. So I figured my speed would increase with the new network, even if it was just a small increase, I would have been happy. The guy at the Clearwire place told me it would increase. Well I hook it up, AND NOW IT GOES EVEN SLOWER!!! Not only does it go slower but every 15 minutes the signal just vanishes and I have to wait for it to reconnect. I tried everything, disconnecting it from my router and putting it straight to the computer, updating my network drivers, even checked firewall settings and checked for viruses, EVERYTHING!! But nothing works. So someone from Clearwire is supposed to come look at it in person. Since the guy I talked to on the phone was an idiot and knew NOTHING. I hate Clearwire and I’m stuck with them because other internet companies aren’t available in my area yet. FUCK CLEARWIRE.

I recomend u getting htc evo from sprint it has 4g but u will get the true speeds of 4g fuck clearwire crap sprint modem work way better but yea there not cheap thoe but worth it with the evo u can share ur 4g with up to 8 people wifi or usb tether with one person but fast speeds and yea it will work wherr u live even better

Clearwire was the cat’s meow when I signed up
a few years back. In the last year, I have
had a decrease in reception with clearwire modem. The new clear modem gives better
reception by far (4 or 5 bars) but service will
suddenly just end. I rehook the old modem and
service will be there! The tech rep said it’s
because they are still upgrading and still
using a mix of old transmission with the new.
I’ll give them some time. Frankly, before
switching to new system, they should have all
new equipment in place. Too fast to roll out
the new…..

Tim make sure that when you “cancel” that they have actually cancelled. Me and my bf just found out that even though we cancelled Oct 2009, we are still being charged 48.47 per month! WTF MAN! We did everything we was suppose to do. A tech came out and determined we couldn’t get a signal, they sent us mailing labels to send their shitty equipment back. They told us that our service was cancelled back in October 2009. Here it is August 2010 and we see a charge by Clear on our statement. They said they can only refund us from April until now, because we didn’t dispute it sooner. Um this is a card we never really use so didn’t notice the charges till now, and also was told the service was cancelled! So make sure you cancel your credit card or bank account or something, or they WILL be charging your ass every fuckin month! We are now in the process of reporting them for fraud, contacting the BBB, and maybe small claims court if we don’t get our got damn money back! FUCK CLEAR WIRE AND THEIR GANGSTA WANNABE ROBBING INNOCENT PEOPLES ASSES!
