Clear REALLY SUCKS – User Submission by Don B.
January 22nd, 2010 | by Tim |Just wrote to let you know that “there REALLY is life after CLEARWIRE \” ! And to let you know how much reading on your site helped us to deal with Clearwire. It was nice knowing WHAT to expect. Still shocking, but better than getting the news cold turkey!
When we started out with “clearwire”, as it was calling it’s self then, it was reasonably fast. But about three months into our two year contract, the service steadily got slower and slower until it became actually SLOWER than dialup, and at peak times, no service at all ! After a year and a half of miserable, to downright NO service, and many countless HOURS talking to customer service at clearwire, our contract was up and we sent the modem back!
Now we have the local cable company’s service and even the magicjack phone works like it’s supposed to, something we never could do with clearwire! And best of all, we no longer DREAD having to get on the computer!
And always remember! “Friends don’t let friends subscribe to Clear” !
