I Couldn’t Agree More – User Submission by Brian A.

January 20th, 2010 | by Admin |

I live in Las Vegas, where Clear advertises all over town that they have all of Las Vegas covered. After days of not getting calls back from their sales reps, I finally found a store location that gladly charged me for the purchase of their equipment and first month’s service.

When I got home, I discovered that the service works, but just not at the level at which they were advertised. I am getting downloads speeds reminiscent of a 56K modem – no where near the 3Mbs that the company promised I was getting and the package I paid for.

They sent a technician, who spent no time in my house having already done all his work outside before he spoke to me. The first words out of his mouth were “You’ll need to move to use our service.”

3 cell phone calls totaling 3 ½ hours to Clear customer service and technical support plan to discover that they are dropping me as a customer, because they can’t get me the speeds they promised. That’s it, just like that. Now I am waiting for them to refund the $160 I forked over for a modem and setup fees. I expect I will have to appeal to my credit card company to get my money back from Clear. It should have been evident when I spoke with their customer service department, they have obviously dealt with a lot of upset customers – you could just read it in their tone.

I am also in Las Vegas… atleast your getting around 56k I cant even get connected in my House always searching for service I even have the Clear 4G+ mobile modem which is suppose to connect to Sprints 3G whenever 4G/WiMax is not available… Granted when I leave my house and outside it works all over town…. Now was just hoping it worked so could cancel my cox service so didnt have to pay twice.. But since service doesn’t work in my house I am forced to keep paying for Cox.
