Clear WiMax is a JOKE – User Submission by Andrea I.
January 16th, 2010 | by Admin |Ever since we got the new Clear WiMax, we’ve had consistent issues, including fluctuating bars, drops, etc. Right now we only have 2 bars out of 5 and have moved it all over our tiny condo in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood to try and get a better connection. We’ve never had consistent high bar readings (even 4 out of 5 would be nice). Speeds on the first day that we plugged in the new modem were good, but they seem to have deteriorated. Last weekend we had NO service from Sunday evening until Tuesday evening. When calling tech support about it I got a message that said there was an “issue” in our area and they were working on it…they didn’t even want you reaching tech support because after the initial message the automated message said, “if you have any OTHER issue, press 1, otherwise hang up.” When it started working again there wasn’t any sort of an apology (and I know they can push through messages when you start up your browser as I’ve had that happen before) and nothing about what even happened. What company has such poor customer service? Their tech support isn’t even 24-hours! What internet company doesn’t have 24-hour support?! None of the big guys. Customer service is so poor that we weren’t even informed that they were switching their name from Clearwire to Clear…wouldn’t you want your current customers to know!? This is getting to be ridiculous. I can’t even figure out when our contract expires…their “My Account” is crap…
