I see the Austin market is signing up dealers like crazy and was coming close to learning more about becoming a Clear dealer. Can you be more specific about how your contract was breached? Thanks for the info.

We signed up as a clear dealer here in Tampa, promised a major marketing campaign etc etc etc.
One week into the launch, with no marketing from clear, they cancelled our dealership. We are not $100,000 into this fortunately but the ethics of this company suck. Let us know how we can help.

As a CLEAR retail dealer I am ready to join in any class action lawsuit against CLEAR. They have not delivered as promissed. They have changed their dealer agreement 3 times in 6 or 7 months. They threaten dealers by stating they will bring someone else into your location that can do a better job. They have limited coverage which causes churn and charge backs. They provide very little advertising in my market and nobody knows what CLEAR is. I could go on.
SIGN ME UP FOR THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT “DEALERS THAT ARE GETTING SCAMMED BY CLEAR”.

I am out over 30k. I would be willing to speak to anyone considering becoming a dealer. The inventory system is a joke. The towers Suck. Clear will shut down towers for a week and call the customers that cancelled. They offer them a better deal. You lose your commission and they retain the customer. I can go on and on. Do NOT even consider selling clear as a STAND ALONE store or kiosk. The churn and pull backs are HORRIBLE! gilmorejd@gmail.com if you want to discuss it with me. I was a top dealer for CLEAR in Washington State.

A National major Financial News outlet is looking to do a story on Clear and how they pump up the numbers. If any one here is interested in talking to the reporter let me know and will put them in contact with you

Like so many others I got tired of the slow service, buffering, inability to stream and dropped connections. I even bought a signal booster from Clear to boost the signal. (IT helped some.) When I tried to cancel, they first tried to imply I had a problem on my machine and to call tech support. I explained I’d already been down that road. I was then put on hold for some 8 minutes and then had to jump through multiple hoops with another rep. Bottom line, they wouldn’t cancel the contract. So I closed my credit card and now they can’t bill me anymore. Yes, they will send a collection agency after me and I will refuse to pay. If taken to court, I will contest on the grounds that they failed to fulfill their side of the contract (to provide high-speed mobile internet).

I am a Authorized CLEAR Retailer VICTIM. I would like to participate in any law suits against CLEAR. CLEAR has not provided advertising, coverage, or much of any support as orginally promised or as I was led to believe by CLEAR staff. All of the original CLEAR staff during the introduction of CLEAR in my market has bailed out or been replaced. CLEAR has not provided any documentation to audit dealer activations or charge backs. The level of service fluctuates and dissapoints customers causing churn. I sure hope there is a law firm willing to take on CLEAR on behalf of all CLEAR Retailers/dealers that have lost money and who have been bilked by CLEAR.
Because I have leases in place I must hang in there with CLEAR and pray they will get it together or by some act of GOD I get reimbursed for my losses. I am guessing CLEAR was started by the likes of Bernie Madoff! I hope we can put the management of CLEAR away some day! I don’t see a lot of hope for impovement. I noticed CLEAR stock is now plunging. Where is SPRINT in this delema? Oh yah, they bought NEXTEL too. That really worked out good didn’t it? .

Where is Sprint? Getting ready to partner with Lightsquared. Sprint sold their stock down to 49% and getting ready to toss Clear to the wolves.Clear can’t die fast enough for me.The “Train Wreck” is getting close, stay tuned

omg, was looking to buy home/mobile internet reception; glad i checked with existing customers first. seems like since the world of communication dropped analog for all digital….there’s been nothing but reception trouble. could it be too much demand/too many ‘users’?
well i’m sick & tired of being these companies ‘road kill’; flushing more ca$h into their lousy service.
clear is obviously headed for the dumpster—so is there any choice of mobile internet access w/o getting rapped with time/data charges?
any suggestions?

Dave, Mike, Lance…Dealers & consumers:
I’m really sorry for the aggravation, financial setbacks and absolute betrayal you and others on this site have experienced.
I’m just a consumer, tired of the expensive empty promises. A need for safe consistent internet access at home and frequent travel; I’ve been searching for something simple, straight forward; like “Clear” for over 6mos. Most others, like that thru my cell company….ridiculously expensive data charges.
Yesterday, I went into a large retailer who’s carrying “Clear”…. called “BEST BUY”. The last of my hesitations melted; I came online to order “Clear” and found this site. Thank You for the ‘heads up’.
Don’t know how long BEST BUY has carried ‘clear’- you probably know. But, maybe they might want to hear of your experience; &/or would make another strong ali.
I’m sorry for all the pain “Clear” has inflicted on you. I wish you well. What’s happened to trustworthy ‘work ethic’ &/or ‘business ethic’ in USA? – or simple, straight, reliable? – are these lost or forgotten concepts?
Good Luck, K
