I am on board, Clearwire Seattle sucks too! – User Submission by Sara T.
September 20th, 2009 | by Tim |After taking Clearwire’s email notification advise, I have started a blog. This is to let those of you out there with Clearwire accounts know that the Seattle customer service department, specifically truck roll, has been even less helpful than I could have ever imagined. Clearwire Seattle is a joke.
After calling the 1-888CLEARWIRE national phone number for customer service and technical assistance over 7 times within the past TWO weeks, I still have not had a technical assistant come by my place or even bother to return my phone calls to set up a tech visit. This is after I originally had an appointment, went to my apartment during my lunch hour and waited until I had to return to work, only to get a call an hour past the appointment time from the tech saying he was told my appointment time was a different time. I had even called after waiting a half hour to see where the tech could be and they told me to wait longer and he should be there soon!! I am as surprised as you are to find out that a fairly new company that is boasting giving the customer a new and exciting experience to have wireless internet and not having the only choice of going through the mega cable companies to jump online, would still manage to drop the ball completely on customer service satisfaction. Clearwire Seattle is a joke.
I am a benefit-of-the-doubt kind of person, but this is unacceptable even by my standards. And guess what adds to this complete frustration? I have been without working service for over 2 months! Not only do they need to follow up with customers that appear to have a non-existent signal continuously, but they should definitely be doing everything in their power to get this problem resolved for me ASAP. Instead, however, they are merely telling me to continue to call them back, just in case I don’t hear from the truck roll department in time- which I have yet to hear from at all this week. Clearwire Seattle is a joke.

I hate clearwire. I have had for a very long year. Live in seattle. Tried to cancel it soon after as it has a very weak signal and dial up would be faster!! They want to charge me a fee! I said I cant download songs on itunes or watch videos, play games and they told me that they never claimed to be able to provide that service. Well, in 2009 I would hope that is just BASIC internet!! Load of crap!!!

I’m having similar experiences with Clearwire in Seattle. They failed to provide me with reliable and consistent internet service. I called to try and cancel today and they want to charge me close to $400 in early termination fees. I explained that the PC card works only about 1/3 of the time. The rest of the time, I have to constantly uninstall and reinstall their driver. That’s the best technical support they could provide. It rarely solved the problem. Our regular modem only gets about one to two bars of reception, and it is far too weak for me to watch streaming video on my Roku. So, I want to cancel and they want to punish me for it. They provided terrible service and I’m supposed to just suck it up?
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, their customer service rep explained that one was not available but one will call me back within 72 hours. Wow, what an awesome customer service model!

The service consistently does not work. Would be easier to communicate via two cans tied together with a string. Customer service is a sham, cancellation fees are huge and not initially disclosed. I’ll be clicking on the lawsuit link next.
