Supposed Upgrade – User Submission by Tony A.
September 15th, 2009 | by Admin |Clearwire sucks big time. Their internet connection is unreliable and unpredictable and their customer service is unprofessional.
Because of their supposed upgrade process to Clear, I had to suffer poor or no connectivity for my internet service from June-July. Believing that the conversion would result in better & faster service, I stayed with them. When the supposed upgrade started in the first week of August, I had great internet connection. Then suddenly the service went back to poor or no connectivity.
Talking to 3 different Clear departments, I spent 1 hour and 15 minutes on the phone one night trying to resolve the issue. They claimed that my house was in a blind spot as it was in between two towers. The 2nd and final time I called back, the representative said I was in a blind spot prior to the conversion, but not any longer. She could not explain the poor connectivity.
I canceled my Clear service on Friday and returned my modem yesterday. Clear was scheduled to deduct a monthly payment from my debit card today. They said my account would remain active until they received the modem and would proceed with the monthly deduction as scheduled. They stated that upon receipt of the modem, they would reimburse me for the September payment. Knowing that getting a reimbursement from them would be unlikely or at least, very challenging, I called my bank yesterday and canceled my debit card.
