September 15th, 2009 | by Tim |I ordered a USB stick for wireless service. I am apparently right in the middle of three “hubs” and was going to get the “best speed ever”. The speed was so bad I couldn’t even connect and I was told the siding must be blocking my speed. Can you believe that?
I should have stopped there, but they insisted that a desktop modem would be the answer. Little did I know that it was not a wireless router and it too would have the worst speeds I have ever had.
My sales rep kept trying to get my speeds working and finally told me to call an 800#. Guess what, he delayed me enough to get pass the point of not being able to cancel. Apparently you get 7 days, but they don’t tell you that.
Now they hijack me and I cannot cancel. I must troubleshoot more with them and then if that doesn’t work have a tech come to my house. Only then if THEY don’t feel my speeds are what is guaranteed do I get to cancel without more fees.
I cannot believe I got taken like this, I am so frustrated I have cried. I want everyone to understand that it isn’t worth this service and they are so awful and unhelpful and underhanded. I have never been taken this advantage of.
