August 27th, 2009 | by Tim |I have just spent a long while on the phone trying to cancel my account. I did not remember having a contract with early termination fees. Reluctantly I agreed to the fee, and was given the spiel about trying to resell my account on Craigslist. This did not smack of good business practice to me: neither using customers as salespeople to push a product they’re trying to get rid of, nor asking them to use a free and sometimes risky site like Craigslist to do so.
Then I found this site and now I am very wary of sending the equipment by means of anything but registered and certified mail. I believe that I will cancel my credit card and get a new one so that Clearwire cannot add any more charges.
