August 25th, 2009 | by Admin |I have had Clearwire since 5/08. I told the store I could only get one band and was told that was enough and to sign the contract. I signed the contract then found out nothing worked. I was told too bad you will have to pay a penalty if you break your contract. Tech support told me I should not have been sold the modem.
Service has always been bad but now it is worse. It used to be slow but now for days at a time it is nonexistent. Internet and phone. When I can make a call no one can understand me and calls get dropped. I have to make calls from work. I need to be able to work from home and that has become impossible. Tonight in 2 hours I had done one page of work because I could not get a connection for a long time then it was so slow it was impossible to work. I cannot scroll up and down the page, I sit and look at my cursor going nowhere and the hourglass turning over and over. I am days behind because of this horrible system. AOL dial up was better than this. Pony Express was probably better than this.
I thought I would be saving money over the cable I had for 8 years but at this point breaking the contract would be better than paying for mental health therapy which is what I am going to need if this goes on much longer.

Cleawire is just awful! Ive had it for about 4 years and its never been reliable. Sometimes it amazes because its so fast, but then 90 percent of the time it just sucks. It is slower than dial up most of the time. And I get 4 bars of signal. It takes hours to find signal everytime I want to turn it on. Im tired of this bullshit.

I called to cancel my Clear service. I was on hold for 2 hrs. I’ve been a customer for 7 yrs. I f’in HATE them.
- I’ve been leasing 2 modems for 7 yrs and it cost me $5 for each per month
- when I canceled, they charged me $40 to “restocking fee” of the modems
- day I canceled was the day when the monthly auto-payment went thru – I kindly asked them to prevent this or give me refund for I stopped using Clear for weeks AND I wanted to cancel it ASAP, so I won’t be using it for the next month. He said NO. they can’t reverse it.
