July 28th, 2009 | by Tim |I would like to express how ecstatic I am to discover a website filled with opinions from people who hate clearwire as much as I do. I have been dealing with clearwire for a little over a year and a half now. Signing up for this service has been nothing but a huge regret. It doesn’t feel good to be paying 40 dollars a month for something that is COMPARABLE TO DAIL UP. I find myself using the computer less and less after having to unplug and plug in the modem every 10 minutes just to surf a couple of web pages. I am also a huge gamer, but cannot utilize online gaming with such an awesome broadband provider like Clearwire. Calling customer support resulted in them claiming that Clearwire is not meant for activities such as online gaming or downloading videos. Sweet! 40 dollars a month to browse Myspace and to check my email?? Awesome!
My contract is close to ending. September 25th to be exact. I’m looking forward to this date so much that I’ll be having a party once the cancellation is official. The main event was suppose to include smashing the modem to pieces with a baseball bat, but then my friend (who also suffers with Clearwire) reminded me that we are suppose to send back the modem once our service is over. Still, cake will be served, maybe some ice cream. And it will be wonderful.
