I live right near the Clearwire home in WA and it still sucks – User Submission by Zach
July 26th, 2009 | by Admin |Upon receiving Clearwire for what I thought was a good deal, I was satisfied for what I played. That was my reaction for the first few weeks until download speeds dropped to about 20 KBs or lower. Although paying $30 a month the service was only slightly faster than dial-up but usually not, and less reliable. There is not a single day where Clearwire doesn’t drop out for at least two hours, and usually it’s between 4 and 7 hours. Not only that but I basically can’t upload anything and they’ve “conveniently” regulated p2p traffic so I can’t even use something as simple as Skype. I don’t have $220 to cancel the service that only barely works half the time.
