July 2nd, 2009 | by Tim |I moved. I called Clearwire, as they could not provide service in the new area I moved. I told them I could send them proof that I no longer lived in their coverage area. They didn’t care. Had to pay out my “lease” on the equipment, regardless of if they could provide me service. So, I paid it out instead of the buyout price they wanted and sent the thing back. I don’t see how it can be legal, but I guess you sign an equipment lease and not a service agreement and this is how they nab you. Beware. I will NEVER use this company again and will warn anyone else.
