Lawsuit Filed Against CLEARWIRE!

I am so angry right now I am shaking. Clearwire worked fine for what I needed for the first year. Then it started disconnecting me every time I tried to upload a picture to ebay or craigslist. It also would disconnect me at random times several times a day. I kept having to disconnect the modem, disconnect the router, reconnect the modem, reconnect the router, you know the drill. When I called tech support they didn’t see any issues, but sent me out a new modem. That new modem did the same thing. So, being that I am not a computer expert, and shouldn’t have to be to use the internet, I went out and bought a brand new $100 router thinking maybe that was the problem. Nope, didn’t fix it. Then I thought maybe the wireless signal on my laptop was the problem. But I connected to a friend’s service and had no problems at all. I was also having problems watching anything streaming online. So, last week I got cable internet and have been having no problems at all. It’s been a dream! So today I called Clearwire to cancel and turns out I supposedly have three months left on my contract (What???? I thought it was a year contract? And of course can’t find my paperwork). They want me to reconnect all my internet so they can “troubleshoot” or send a truck which of course they never offered before I tried to cancel. They were completely rude and patronizing, the supervisor kept talking over me and wouldn’t let me talk. At one point I didn’t hear what she said and I said “What?…Excuse me….Can you repeat that?” But she didn’t hear me because she hadn’t stopped talking!! I called her on it and she was very patronizing and said “I apologize if you think I am talking over you.” But of course continued to do it. They also offered me the option of turning the responsiblity of my service over to a friend or family member and I said, “Why would I do that to someone I know?” They even suggested me advertizing it on Craiglist!!! I could go on and on. Anyway I told her I was going to contact my lawyer and hung up on her. Help!!! Is there a class action lawsuit I can join?

    I feel your pain. I get disconnected just for opening AIM and Firefox at the same time. It is quiet annoying. Sometimes the signal would go out so I do the unplgging thing thinking that the USB needs to cool down, then I plug it back and it still doesn’t connect. I’ve complained to the guy who hooked me up a few times and all he says is that “That shouldn’t happen.” Then somehow he me and him started talking about religion and he was preaching to me about how my beliefs were wrong and then he started saying how he can tell Japanese and Chinese people apart because one has a skinner/slimmer face. (I’m Vietnamese). What?

    Frustration is frustrating!

    I am thinking of signing up for service, internet and phone. Does anyone have anything good to say? my office location is in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Is it REALLY that bad?
