June 22nd, 2009 | by Tim |I have been a member with clearwire for 2 months.I have made at least 50 calls (no lie) to them about speed issues, and after going through all their stupid steps I am still where I was before.
I first purchased the 1.5 m service and was getting speeds more like .12 to .67 so clearly not what was promised.The level 1 techs I spoke to had many different ideas as to what my speed issues was caused by.everything from my systems memory to peak hour .tower issues they were working on, ethernet cable, programs I was running Even had me do a speed test in safe mode and still I was slow as all could be .I got fed up with them and mentioned legal action and they moved me up to the 2.0 m service and I for once was happy with them, until I went to use the internet and you guessed it still the same speeds.I kept being told that they were extending my trial period due to speed issues, but when I told them I wished to know where to send their over priced modem and cancel the service because I was sick of all the phone calls and hours of talking to reps, techs level 1 and 2 ,and local tower techs.They then told me I was under a contract for 1 year?I explained to them the person who I spoke to when I ordered the service said that I could cancel at any time and the service was on a month to month basis..They got me…Hook line and heavy sinker.I have kept countless messages they have left me on my message bank on my mobile phone, also names of reps I have spoke to and even the idiot who lied to me in the beginning when I purchased the service.
I just dont know what to do next..But im not done with them thats for sure.
Any Ideas? I’m all ears..

File with the BBB. It won’t get you anywhere, but if you end up taking Clearwire to court, at least it will be on the record that you made every attempt to resolve the dispute dispite Clearwire resisting every step of the way.
