I cancelled my Clearwire account in February 2009. Those bastards forced me to pay over 200 dollars to cancel my account, something they never, never mentioned when I was signing up. They repeatedly tried to convince me not to cancel my account, but to sell it to someone on Craig’s List or eBay. I’m not joking. We went back and forth for over a half hour, arguing over wether I should cancel or sell my account. I knew how hard it was to talk to these people because for the year and a half I was stuck with their crappy service, I had to call them about once or twice a month because their internet stopped working. Even when they “fixed” it, it was as slow as my very first dial up connection way back in 1997. Unacceptable. Regardless, they always insisted my internet was running at top speed, and that I was just impatient!

So I knew it wasn’t going to be easy when I needed to cancel service. But after thirty minutes of arguing my case for not selling my account on Craig’s List, the Clearwire guy says, “fine, go ahead and spend 200 dollars to cancel your account, whatever, it’s your money, hold please.”

Then he put me on hold and never came back. I waited another 45 minutes. I even called them back on my girlfriend’s phone, while they had my phone on hold, and spoke to another representative and went through the entire process again. Once I convinced her I was determined to cancel my account, not sell it, this representative ALSO put me on hold and never came back, while the original rep still had me on hold! They were doing everything in their devilish power to keep me from canceling my account.

Then, it occurred to me. With Clearwire, every bill you pay is actually for next month. Since I was canceling my account and had already paid my bill, I realized I was paying for a month of service I wouldn’t be getting.

I called them up again, but Clearwire refused to reimburse me. I asked to speak to someone higher up, because as I told that idiot representative, if I’m not getting service, and they still take money out of my account, they are stealing, and I will press charges.

Then he put me on hold and never came back.

I’m actually still battling those rotten finks, so, to be continued….

PS, I say we send disease ridden hookers to the CEO of Clearwire, give the bastard the crotch rot, and ruin his life. A big corporation screwing people over is one thing, but these douchebags have repeatedly made inappropriate personal quips about me, stolen my money, and then lied to my face. These are rotten people, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s crooks like this who are responsible for the degradation of society. Let them choke, let them rot, and let Satan serve them the spiky dildo surprise.
