Pathetic Technical Support & Problem connecting in a Clearwire Store – User Submission by Steve A.
June 4th, 2009 | by Admin |June 1st 9:00am sitting in Starbucks trying to connect on my Clearwire PC Card with only an acceptable signal. Decided to go to there store location. Got there at 9:30am but sign says “closed”. Drove over to one of there competitors, but they were to busy to even sell me service. Returned at 10:00am, to find a guy eating breakfast / lunch. Explained my problem, but he said the technician wouldn’t be there until 2pm. So I got on the phone with a service tech but after 20 minutes came to the conclusion that the going from adequate-good signal didn’t not qualify for a replacement. They said I needed to go back to that Starbucks location to verify the problem.
Two days later I went back to Starbucks but only received an acceptable signal again. They suggested I go outside to try and connect, but I thought that working outside in the full sunlight would be pretty difficult to see my screen so I declined. They suggested that I go back home to test my card. At home I move next to the sliding door and face my antenna towards the tower and get the second lowest signal which is above acceptable. The technician also said that I should be able to get a connection at Starbucks on the AT&T WiFi. He then proceeded to asked me if there is anything else he can help me with.
What is wrong with this picture? Luckily I have only three more months left on my contract.

The Clearwire reps are told to say “is there anything else I can help you with” at the end of the call..lol They never actually help anyone. I don’t know what moron that works for that company came up with that. But you have to admit it is pretty funny. That pc card is a piece of shit, but so is the modem. Luckily you only have 3 months left on your contract. Now get some real internet.
