Clearwire Indeed Sucks – User Submission
May 17th, 2009 | by Admin |Ok, so to start with, we didn’t use the service much, it was crappy. We were late on the bill by accident and they started calling….and calling….and calling….long after we paid up. We owed Zero, Zip, Zelch, NOTHING…ok you get the idea. Yet I was receiving calls….daily. It started out innocent enough. “oops, looks like you were on this list by accident, we will take your off and don’t worry”. An hour later another call rinse and repeat. We were getting three or four calls a day on my cell phone, when we didn’t owe them a dime.
This lasted weeks. So we canceled, our account balance was zero, the rep told me since we were out of contract there was no problem, just return the modem and say goodbye. Yay, naive me. So we waited, got the return label, missed the window, was told we could bring it to the clearwire office, was told we couldn’t, blah blah blah. So we got another return label, and sent it in. They received the modem, then started calling again…saying that our service would be canceled due to past due balance and we would be charged a fee for interruption of service. We were told our service WAS canceled and that we didn’t owe them a dime, yet the robot representatives state otherwise. That you will continue to be charged service until the modem is received, we argued this then the robot said no worries we will fix it. Well, this morning another rep called to say we owed them money and that they could call us as many times a day that they wanted and no one was going to fix it.
Many expletives were exchanged, I hate clear wire and make sure that no one I know will ever ever use them. If you cancel your cable service, they charge you for the cable box if you don’t return it, they don’t continue to charge you your monthly service. Furthermore, no collection agency I have ever dealt with, some bad ones too, will ever DARE to call you more that one time a day. What the hell can you do? You just bend over and take it?
