April 30th, 2009 | by Admin |I moved outside of Clearwire’s service area after being a customer for almost 3 years. This is my second 2-year contract term. The customer service rep told me that I would have to pay a $150 cancellation fee, and that I was misled my the sales rep who told me that if i moved outside of the service area I would be able to get out of my contract, no problem. This is what I had been told the first time I signed up for service as well. I mentioned the class action lawsuit, and asked him if he expected this policy to change anytime soon. He told me that even our military guys who are getting deployed to Iraq have to pay the $150 cancellation fee! This guy was obviously used to getting angry phone calls, and I applauded him for being so honest with me. What a terrible job to have! I guess I have to pay the cancellation fee now, since I have no other choice and the service does not work on this side of Eugene.
Clearwire sucks!
