Lawsuit Filed Against CLEARWIRE!

My Letter to Clearwire – User Submission by Russ D.

April 24th, 2009 | by Tim |

I have been a customer for almost 3 years now and have been seemingly satisfied with your product and service; that is until yesterday!

I have moved and my new area is on the out skirts of North Bend Washington were clearwire does not receive coverage, so I called to pause or cancel service and am told that I can’t cancel until I return my modem via UPS in a box that has to be mailed out to me; I say no problem I will return myself because I live fairly close to your headquarters and then am told that I can’t do that –what!!!

A while back I got a Tivo for Christmas so I called Comcast to cancel my DVR service –they canceled it and asked me to return the DVR to Redmond when I could –they get it!

So now I am going to be charged 50 bucks for a service I can’t use all because you guys are worried about your 100 dollar modem that I have paid $180 for in lease payments. It is no wonder someone took the time to purchase the domain name clearwiresucks.com, you have one current class action lawsuit filed on 4-22-09 and others pending.

I am sure someone at clearwire is business savvy enough to understand that one individual can cost a company with just a little bad press a lot more than a $100 modem just with one twitter or facebook post; but I will take it a step further, in being lucky enough to live close to your head quarters, and sit on Lakeview Dr with a sign for a good day!

Please just cancel my account so as I don’t get charged for a service I cannot use! Do not worry about your precious modem it will be returned to you as I have no use for it.

Retain my original perception of a company in my own back yard as being honorable!
