Glad I found other that feel the same way I do….

I’ve been with clearwire for almost a year now… I was in a local shopping mall when a smooth talking gentleman sold me on the price of only $29.99 a month. Since I was using a bundled package from Comcast which was triple the price I quickly took the Clearwire option.

My service sucks… he didn’t tell me that since I live in a wooded area the service would not be that great.. I only got like 2 bars on my modem for almost 3 months so I’ve walked it around to every possible window in my house as advised by Clearwire Tech Support before finding a good signal in my kitchen…but who really wants a modem and all these stupid wires in the kitchen.

I then added the phone service (ask me why) which made my bill about $70 a month. Sometimes my home phone won’t ring for hours and then I’ll pick it up to make a call and no dialtone at all.. . My family would say, I’ve been calling you all day and your phone has been going straight to some auto recording (like a cell phone with no service) I have to unplug the modem and jiggle it around in the window to get the phone and internet to work again. (This happens at least 3-5 times a day if not more)

I call to complain because a) I work from home and b) I’m like in the middle of conference calls and Live Meetings and my service will completely go out right in the middle of a meeting. I can’t afford to be without service for any amount of time. It’s so unreliable.

They offered to give me a higher speed connection at no additional charge and sent me this stupid window mount to stick the modem to the window to get a better connection, That was NO HELP AT ALL!!

I can’t wait until my 2 years is up because I’m dropping them so quick and I will continue to tell everyone I know how horrible their service is and that they will still let you battle through unreliable service even when they could see that I had terrible coverage. Such a rip off! I may even consider paying the early termination fee and going back to (Dare I say it..) Comcast.
