Lawsuit Filed Against CLEARWIRE!

“CLEAR” WIRE ?=> SMOKE’N'MIRRORS WIRE – User Submission by Arlyn M.

I was so GLAD to run into this opportunity to express major concern with this Rip-off Company!! I spent 2 hours with “clear”-wire on the phone today.

I Originally signed up for the big CW -PROMO.
The “Deal of the month” “or week” “or year?” (Depends on the moment in time) as to what “that-deal” is???.

The “deal” I entered into:
$49.99/month for: INTERENT AND VOIP Services – ONLY this price:>>(IF YOU DO BOTH)
Duration: (For 6 months). After 6 months- Goes up to $59.00/month for remaining of the year.

Somehow? after 3 months of $49.99– I’ve started paying $69.99/month (ALWAYS set up so you pay–auto–. So for 8 months I paid $69.99/month.
Hmmm? I was– Not able to change my Credit Card info in the “cancel or change services” (MY -CW online-account) Hmmm? Can ONLY change that info by a “phone-call”– In order to “cancel or change services” gotta CALL…-!
I did-. Here are some of the varied answers and “smokey-slippery” replies I got. VIA THE FIRST PHONE CALL:
“O-well-Let me check on that–one moment please”–How are you today? Are you having a good day? Is the sun shining there? Your Dog in the background sounds sweet?”
–OH–well yes–I see–You are on two programs rather than the bundle plan. You just got two separate services with US– NOT two “bundled” together. You were told you had to get both to get the $49.00/month? and thern it would go up to $59.00/ after 6 months? Well- 2 separate services is not the same plan as a 2 “bundle”. -”No” The bundles are $59.00/month. What you say you paid for 3 months the original $49.99/month? That You were quoted $49.99/month? Well you were most likely under-charged as there is no such program or offer as $49.00/month. We don’t have any package at that cost. Not a 2 service one..2 Service? what is that? 2 Service is a bundle. The $79.99 is the correct charge for that. For what? For the bundled program of Internet and VOIP. No–I didn’t say that they were bundled! How much if you drop the VOIP? Well why would you want to do that? How about if I offer you Internet-Voip-combo at $59.99 /month. I COULD do that as long as you do the combnation bundle?–………………………BLAH BLAH BLAH—etc. SO This is the part that–”went-way over the line”–.
I STUPIDLY GOT so Aggravated and just wanted to cancel the PHONE/VOIP—and STOP getting charged 69.99 a month!
Paid a $50.00 (early termination fee-!) Twice if I offered to STAY with both services I was told that would save me this fee!!- I insisted on DROPPING the “VOIP” because at that point I knew they were major CONS.–But was still caught in the “Smoke N Mirrors”—–Cancelling and dropping ANY service with them is MAJOR difficult.. Barters/Offers/Threats of fines? on on on etc.—I also had to CLARIFY that “NO” –I did not want to–”Keep-my VOIP phone number”—(another charge to do that)—WHY wouldn’t I keep the number? It will be just totally lost if you just drop it? —I’m DROPPING the services—. I can tell my friends and family what my new number is.– I CLARIFIED that the VOIP would be dropped-AND that I COULD get the Clearwire Internet for $25.00/month (waived modem rental fee of $5.00)—-AND that I no-longer cared about or wanted the VOIP/PHONE number.

Four DAYS later—-My phone? VOIP seemed to still be getting dial tone……(I had specifically asked what I needed to do to un-connect. Reply was “Oh you don’t need to do anything–it will just be dis-connected from our end. -
My credit card WAS charged $50.00 IMMEDIATELY…….But somehow the VOIP/PHONE was still on?? Four days later?
I CALLED them AGAIN. “HI AND HOW ARE YOU TODAY?? AND HOW IS YOUR DOG?–OK WELL I’LL LOOK THAT RIGHT UP–!
…..I was told my VOIP PHONE services were NOT cancelled because they were missing information from me? THEY Needed “clarification” !! -”DID I want to KEEP the VOIP phone number or not?”-
-I said–Gee? You didn’t need any clarification on taking $50.00/out of my account?—No question on the CHARGE? –huh–? AND HOW LONG BEFORE? YOU JUST CHARGED ANOTHER 69.00 TO MY CARD AND THEN SAID WELL? MY GOSH!! WE DIDN’T HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION WE NEEDED IN ORDER TO STOP YOUR SERVICE??—-

-HMMM? UNLESS YOU WATCH AND TRACK EVERY SINGLE DAY –WITH GOOD OLE CW THEY WILL SUCK YOUR FUNDS AND INCH UP PRICES AND PLAY THE MIRROR–GAMES— ALL OVER THE PLACE-!
—YOU WILL GET NOTHING>>> “CLEAR” WITH CLEAR-”WIRE”….
YOU’LL GET
.A MAZE AND MIRROS YA….BUT NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY—–”CLEAR” OR HONEST.

DURING THE SECOND-RETURN CALL—(AFTER GETTING THAT THEY WERE LEAVING THE VOIP/PHONE ON–AND RUNNING ME AROUND IN CIRCLES…..-I SAID–I don’t want ANY SERVICE FROM CLEARWIRE AT ALL. NOTHING
I WANT THE VOIP OFF IMMEDIATELY—AND I AM NO LONGER GETTING INTERNET OR USING ANY CLEARWIRE SERVICE AT ALL—-YOU”LL GET ALL OF YOUR “WIRES/MODEMS/MIRRORS/AND SMOKE—sent BACK–today..!

–I was then informed it would cost—$185.00 early termination fee if I dropped all…….
But?? Well since you were over charged –we could–go ahead and credit your account with $80.00 dollars IF you were to stay with us—for THE Internet.service for $25.00/plus the Modem rental fee?——
Huh?
HA!
I don’t even really blame the “CW-employee” or Sales Associate–Honest—I don’t..Imagine they are all working for $1.99/an hour? or else ? ONLY on commision?
….WHO TRAINS THESE PHONE-INFORMATION/SALES PEOPLE???

THEY’VE GOT DEFINITE PATTERNS and SWIRLS AND MOVES AND FINES! (that then they can REDUCE for you!)) Ya HOOO>!
THE UPS/DOWNS__MOVES…..”Float like a butterfly -sting like a bee”—-Smoke N Mirrors–.

Who trains them? (and pays them $5.00/hour? and commission for how many perks they sell…..How much is their–”punitive” cost — for losing a customer?-
How much does the “head” of CW make??
