My Clearwire Experience – User Submission by Ralph M.

About three years ago, my wife and I decided to move from Jacksonville, Fl, to Smithfield, NC, to be close the Grandkids. Since I knew about where we were going, I stated checking in Clearwire as an alternate to Bellsouth.

I am Retired from the Service, and I am also disabled, and every penny counts.

When I talked to the Clearwire Rep about coverage in North Carolina, and specifically Smithfield, she assured me that Clearwire was, “All over North Carolina, and you should not have a problem.” If it had not been for this statement, I never would have signed on the dotted line.

Now I am paying them $40.33 a month for Nothing! They are legally stealing that money from my very tight budget every month! And they have been since April 08!

As I said, my budget is tight and now I have to pay for two (2) providers instead of one.

What really burns me, is, when you talk to Clearwire about it, they could care less. I have talked to them on numerous occasions, and I still get the “Not Give A Damn” attitude. I was even told once that, “Even though we do not encourage our agents to give False Information, we cannot be held responsible for what they do.”

Then they proceeded to inform me that I am still responsible for paying this bill.

IF I CAN BE HELD RESPONSIBLE, WHY CAN’T THEY!!!
