However…
Once you are signed up for their service, you suddenly find out that this lightning speed is NOT to download big files, stream video, play online video games, or do anything else that actually uses some of that band width. If you try to stream a video, for instance, you’ll find your speed is cut down from your rated speed to around 1/5th the rated speed, and at times you may find you are disconnected for up to 20 minutes at a time. It can take 4 hours to watch a movie… and your online game playing has such long lag times that it makes anything but the simplest games impossible to play. This all, at the bargain price of $43 a month or more.
Their tech support is great. They will help you walk through the solution, even to finding the tower I use is WAY overloaded. Then, talking to customer non-service, you find you are stuck with this plan for 2 years, or pay their outrageous disconnect fee. Having near dial-up speeds is not a reason to have the contract broken… and you are not allowed to roll back to your previous level of service.
