Clearwire Sucks Big Time! – User Submission by Bill S.
February 2nd, 2009 | by Admin |I have been a customer for over 3 years. Decided to change over to DSL because of signal reception problems. Try to cancel service. The rep Penny wanted me to find someone to take service. She said go on Myspace or craigslist and find someone to take your account.I said just want to cancel agreed and service. She said that Clearwire would give me a free month of service to find someone [I did not want free service just stop service]. Called back and a man answered at Clearwire told him wanted to cancil and had been with them long enough to have no penelties. Was sent a BS email but no shipping document yet see email below. The other problem that I had was Clearwire sent 2 modems to me and 6 months after using #2 modem received a rude call from tech support that If I did not return 1 modem would be charged $34 extra so I shipped it off. That action started the move to DSL.
Still trying to get a shipping document. Could be will need to file a complaint with credit card co. when monthly charge occurs.
BEWARE OF CLEARWIRE FOR THEIR BAD SALES PRACTICES..
