Do you know what the default password for the modem is?
I want to access my home network remotely but can't get past the damn router. CW says they don't block any ports, but I think they are. IN any case, hitting the modem via it's external IP address gets me to a login screen...nothing in the box talks about a default password.

Yes, I just bought my modem yesterday and even though I knew about some issues.. I decided to cancel it today.

For me, it's an issue of reliability. If you have money to burn, get Clearwire. It's neat.

But it is not there yet. For some reason I can watch streaming video from corporate sites like fox.com, but veoh? streaming divx? just not happening. I don't know why. The fact the some works and some doesnt gives me hope that it's a matter of time before this is well worth the money. Not at this point.

I just want the internet when I want it, I want to play games and be entertained. For that, I will go to Cable internet and pay ~20$ more a month. Well worth it.

For some reason, using a free VPN program called HotspotShield got me downloads of 2.2Mbps! All day on speedtest I only got 1.5Mbps, and then I loaded up the program, and could surf the web faster.. but NO faster at streaming :(

There are so many variables, I'm actually really excited to investigate this technology, as I'm about to start a degree in computer science.

I am within the seven days. I'm tempted to stay. But I won't be locked down, THEN screwed. It's too unreliable for anything other then simple web browsing and e-mail (but if that's all you do, then 40$ a month to cover everything and be able to move your internet around is well worth it, even more so if the money is nothing. Get Cable AND WiMax. Fuck it!)
