Don’t go with Clearwire – User Submission by Ron M.
December 23rd, 2008 | by Tim |I had Clearwire internet service in my condo for 14 months and then sold the condo. Clearwire said I had to pay a termination fee of $200 even though they did not offer service in my new location. When I purchased the service 14 months before they told me that if I moved and no service was available my two year contract would be terminated.
After several phone calls, I was told I could transfer the remaining part of my contract to another person. I arranged for the buyers of my condo to take over the contract but the service was so bad that they could not download iTunes video content. When they contacted Clearwire Tech support they were told that Clearwire was not designed to so so.
I ended up paying the $200 termination fee and never will use Clearwire again.
