just bad service, don’t care about their customers – User Submission by Bill S.
November 17th, 2008 | by Tim |I used Clearwire for over one year, moved and decided to go with a cable modem. Could not return my modem to the store, and then after canceling a credit card got automated phone calls on my cell phone. I refuse to speak with automated phone calls and finally a human called me. I attempted to return the call the same day and received an answering machine. On my next day off called them again and was finally given an address to send my final payment. I asked them to stop all contact and they told me the automated phone calls would not stop til the payment was processed in about 15 days. I told them that I carry my cell phone at work and cannot receive non work related calls and to please stop all contact. The check will be in the mail immediately. They claimed it is automated and could not be stopped, I told them I would call a lawyer and charge them with phone harassment. I wonder if this is collections way of getting out of the Fairness in Collecting Act guidelines. I would think a company would be responsible for their automated systems.
Overall Clearwire is a horrible company from a service standpoint, they don’t respect their customers and after reading many of the other emails here see they basically rip people off.
Funny how the business model and government ethics or lack of ethics are so parallel.
