I have to jump on the bandwagon. I already signed up with a local provider and called to cancel with Clearwire. They had all kinds of rates and a combo package with internet and phone. Had me on the phone for an extended period of time and talked to 2 different people. In the conversation they never said anything about sending back the modem, but if I knew of someone who could use it I would receive a $50 gift card. Good thing I didn’t just throw it away. I canceled my service on the 16th and got charged for another month on the 24th. When I called they said “You will be charged til you return the modem.” I told them that I did not want the modem or another charge for a month that I would not use the service. Then was told well you may as well take your time and try to find someone to take the modem because you have already paid for the month. What is this CRAP???!!!!
