I cannot think of a single other Internet Service provider that you would have to put up with anything like this. People sign up for garbage like Clearwire because of this reason, it is very convenient and easy to sign up. However, the problems start when you receive a bill for a lousy 1.5 Mbps of $41.21. You try to cancel and they threaten to charge you $200.00. This is the classic bait and switch. I recommend that all customers do their research before they sign up for a provider. Make your decision based on price and the quality of service you will be receiving. Let this be a lesson to anyone even considering Clearwire that this company cares little about the quality of the service they offer. They simply want your money and in return, they want to give very little for it. And the other lesson you should learn, DON’T sign a contract for internet. I guarantee you there are much better providers in town they don’t even require a contract. If you have a desktop computer and you don’t have a phone jack/cable outlet in your room, please do the following. Purchase a wireless router. Some Cable and DSL companies integrate their modem with the wireless router for an excellent price. Number 2, go to your local wal-mart and purchase a USB wireless adapter for your desktop. By doing this, you will not be dependent on stupid providers such as clearwire.
