Lawsuit Filed Against CLEARWIRE!

I have had clearwire for 6 months and have decided to cancel the service. Like everyone else i had 5 green lights of service everyday and yet very slow internet connection and download speed. After about one or two months of service they sent me an email warning me that if i did not cut back on downloading that they would cancel my account. Having been very unhappy with the service at this point i continued to download roughly the same as before hoping that they would cancel me. They however did not. At that time i was a little pressed for money and could not cancel on my own because i knew i would have to pay a cancellation fee. Now that it has been 6 months i have decided they do not deserve anymore money and that i am going to cancel the service. Just before canceling i read over the part int he terms and conditions where they talk about the cancellation fee. I had some questions so i called the oh so helpful customer service reps. I spoke with Joe employee # 5796 who told me that he was 100% percent sure that 10 dollars would be taken off of the 220 dollar cancellation fee for each month that i have had the service. He never mentioned that that only applied to a 1 year contract. The first time i spoke with a cancellation rep. they tried to convince me to let someone else take over the account so i did not have to pay the cancellation fee. After i explained to them that i did not want anyone else to suffer with clearwire as i had the woman said that she was going to talk to her supervisor to see what they could do for me. When she came back on the phone she said that they had just had a meeting that morning and they had came up with a way to solve the slow speed problem. I did not believe her because it seemed a little too ironic and i have read the stories of how the customer service will lie to you. I then asked for my packaging label. As i am sure you all know clearwire must send you a packaging label so you can send the modem back and they have “attempted” (so they say) to send one to my email addresses 4 times to no avail. I am most likely going to get them to fax it to me. In the end i hate clearwire and would be more than happy to see them fail. thank you for your time and the great website.
