This group of CRIMINALS , should be strung up by their DECEPTIVE EXTREMITIES!!!
I , too a attempting to terminate service and am being told that I will be responsible for a $ 205 cancellation fee. This INFO is " HIDDEN " , deep in the contract sent by email , AFTER a person signs up.
I am trying to figure a way of avoiding this ( as are ALL of the rest of you...)
These slimeballs MUST BE STOPPED !!!!!
I was sent the retuen address form today and am not sure what I should do (?)

My service goes down often. On contacting clearwire about it I was told that the their system showed that i am in coverage area so any early termination will cost between $180-220. This is clear rip off. Their product sucks.

While discussing with the supervisor I understand that if there are more than 10 users from one tower, the system fails often. When I mentioned that I am going to report this, she backed off on her words. I get not more than two lights during the day and 3 and up during the night. It seems that there is not enough capacity on each tower and thus the calls are dropped. The company is refusing to accept the fact and allow a early termination.

Count me in for the law suit. I am really tied of the service.

I was lied to by a man named Dick Taylor who sold me the service at a bridal show in Raleigh. I was clear that I would be moving, and he said my contract "certainly would be terminated" if I were unable to receive service. I moved to Nashvile a month ago. I called before I moved to ensure my apartment would have access. Once I got there and could not change apts, Clearwire explained that what they meant was I could get a laptop card at that address. I called several more times, once they said I was not in the service area, another time that I was in the service area but not facing the right direction, and another time that I was in the service area but there was a mtn. in the way. Their supervisor, Matt from Las Vegas, kept me on my cell phone for over an hour explaining that all 3 explanations were correct, and refused to even listen to me, much less concede anything.I finally sucked it up and paid the early termination fee. That however, was not explained to me when I purchased the service, nor was the fact that they require your checking account to be automatically drafted. No paper contract came with my service, in fact no paper at all came with the modem.

They are under the impression that b/c I have access to the online terms of service that I agreed to them. In fact, the retailer must have clicked through all of these mysterious contract screens for me, b/c I never signed or clicked any agreement.

This is outright fraud, and there is no other name for it. And as for defamation, Clearwire would have to prove they have loss as a result of our 1st Amendment rights to complain about service, and as long as they are stealing anywhere from 100-220 in early termination fees, they'll never lose money. Please tell everyone you know not to make the same mistake I did. When I did have the service, it was so slow I could barely download music. Please include me in a class action!

Wow! Thanks for the forum. This is great stuff! I thought that it was just me the lowly country boy to far from town to get DSL or cable. My 2 year contract is up in Dec. I cant wait! I knew about the early termination fee but thought I would stick it out. Random connection is better than no connection. I will look forward to the time when I can call them everday to make sure my survice is deactivated and will no longer be billed for garbage. I will enjoy that.
              DOWN WITH CLEARWIRE!

I am looking at starting a class action lawsuit against clearwire right now. I'm just waiting for a lawyer to get back to me. When I signed up the guy who sold me my service put in a fake address where service is available because service is not available where I live. I am looking into filing a lawsuit against them for fraud. I will get back to all you with more information when I get some.

I want to join or start a lawsuit on this misleading and criminal company. A contract is a contract, yes...and a term contract means that once the term is over...you are no longer on contract. Just who the hell gave them permission to decide to roll its customers over automatically into another term contract unless you contact them within a 30 day window at the end of your contract...this is absurd and there are somethings you cannot do in a contract whether you state it or not...this must be one of them...please help me to join/start a lawsuit!!!!!!!!!!

I got the service because they keep anouncing that they service my area, when I got home I could not find any spot that could get more than 2 bars in the modem, I called them and they sent a technician like two weeks later to troubleshoot and he found a place in the garage where I could get 3 bars, this worked for just few moments and went back to 2 bars.
I called them back about a week later and after hours on the phone with their technical support they told me to send the modem back. one week later I checked my credit card statement and they are charging me $180 for early termination, I called and they are saying that since I am in their called service area and the technician got the modem to get three bars they can not waive the fee.
I am just $%#@%%^&^*&^.

I am being charged for teminating service with Clearwire because I moved outside of thier LITTLE service area, which I was told at the Clearwire store in Greensboro, NC off of Wendover Ave. wouldnt happen. I think we should all sue them for lying to us, Im not the only one that they have told this to, then turn around and charge us for moving. Also, my friend, who works for a tower company, put up towers for clearwire, and they never paid his company for their hard work. F*** Clearwire.

First of all, Clearwire is not "broadband service". I live in Boise, ID and my $9/mo. People PC dial-up service works better than my $49/ mo. Clearwire service. The People PC service is more consistent. Sometimes my home page won't even load, or will take about 5 minutes with Clearwire. It's seems facist that Clearwire will spend tens of thousand of dollars in attorney's fee's, in an attempt to stop people from telling the truth about their dishonest business practices. Thousands of dollars can't make a turd into something that it's not. it's still a turd. I definitely feel like I'm being ripped-off by Clearwire. I should have checked them out before I signed up. There seems to be an abundance of "clearly" dissatisfied and unhappy customers.

I also here that Clearwire is for sale. It makes me sick to think that the rip-off artist from Seattle who started this company will have some of my money in his pocket. Another example of how "white collar crime pays"

First of all, Clearwire is not “broadband service”. I live in Boise, ID and my $9/mo. People PC dial-up service works better than my $49/ mo.
I am outraged by Clearwire's contention that somehow an early termination fee of up to $220 was "agreed" to when I ordered service. This early termination fee is noted on page 20, section 31 of their "Terms of Service." They entitle themselves to this early termination fee even when a customer moves to a new location where they don't even provide service! I am outrages at that their business practice can seem legit in the eyes of other ISP providers, Better Business Bureaus, and customers. Thank you for your clearwiresucks web site.
