Clearwire where to start I have been in the IT biz for over a decade now and first off the idea of what clearwire could be is absolutly amazing but that is decades, and tens of millions of dollars away. I do have a clearwire box but it is in my car hooked to a wireless router and is only used for the rare customer who doesn't have real internet, or to get to google maps. They are very overpriced for what you get. I pay it because it is mobile and well I need that, but for most consumers get cable or dsl it is much faster and more reliable. The customer support sucks, but I can' tthink of any major ISP that has good customer service, the #1 thing you should do before considering clearwire is test it at your home or where ever you will be using it, the service is so spotty that it is really a 50 50 shot if it will work for most people. Bottom line it does work, but not well. If I had it to do over I think I would have gone with a sprint aircard it is faster and actually cheeper.

So I know someone who works for ClearWire and he aquired me a modem for free. This service is so piss poor that I gave it back to him and I am now buying a cable service. Even at no cost I wouldn't use this service. I feel for those of you who actually had to pay for this. I know several people who have used this service and I am yet to find anyone that doesn't feel ripped off. It seems the only people that will stick up for the service are the people selling it. Silly little ClearWire drones. Tell it how it is.

I agree clearwire sucks! Within our 7 day trial we called to let them know we were not happy we made more than 10calls ---our problem was that we trusted them to take care of our problem. When we were fed up we called to tell them we wanted to cancel and didn't want to talk to another tech trying to talk us into staying. Of course they put us on hold lasting for more than 1/2 hour not once but several times we tried. Finally when we finally got a hold of someone we were told that we weretold we were two days over the seven days. They actually counted the day we called in our order and not only that told me I couldn't cancel because I wasn't on the account although all this time I had been talking to someone and this was never an issue. When my husband called to "get me authorized" I was told that I couldn't just cancel unless I paid the $220.00. I asked to talk to a supervisor and Jetta said there is no supervisor to speak to because there is none. (Makes me wonder) The next day I called and that person (Sheryl) said that I could talk to a supervisor but it would take 48 hours. I'm still waiting........in the meantime I'm letting everyone know about their UNFAIR CONSUMER PRACTICES!!!!!!!

I'm just looking into ClearWire, and the first thing I noticed is that no matter what address I type into their service finder, instead of displaying the service plans and pricing options, the website says they have service NEAR me (I live in Raleigh, one of ClearWire's pilot sites) and I need to have a technician contact me. I smell rip-off.
